Premier Inn Huntingdon (A1/A14)

I stayed here last night with my wife and 2 sons... It was just a halfway stopover on our journey back south. An older Premier Inn but still the same spotless room and amazingly comfy beds. Reception staff were lovely and very welcoming. The brewers fayre pub next door is a little dated but very friendly staff and very reasonably priced.. Mon to Friday before 6pm they do great value meals for only £5. My boys loved the Wendy's restaurant next door.... Great position hotel also has macdonalds next door and a BP garage with an m and s shop. We will definitely be using this hotel in future as our halfway over night stop

Usual good standard of Premier Inn hotel but… The WiFi service is extremely poor and had to call Virgin and spend considerable amount of time on the call to get it working. This only happens at other places with Virgin . This is a long-standing problem with Virgin at Premier Inns and Travellodges. An even more significant issue is the absolutely appalling state of the entire service area. There are no footpaths, very few street lamps and huge trucks park wherever they like, destroying the verge. It’s both difficult and dangerous to walk between different retail outlets. It’s an absolute disgrace and Whitbread (and other retailers) should refuse to pay rent until the landlord fixes these problems. Can’t see myself returning despite Premier Inn being a really good brand.

Lovely room with windows that open for ventilation and fresh air. More Premier Inns should offer this basic amenity. We enjoyed a cool and relaxing night's sleep as a result. Additionally, friendly staff and smooth check-in. Would definitely return.

Stayed for one night whilst traveling on business, the Premier Inn is located at the ‘services’ on the junction of the A14 & A1, more a collection of fast-food places and a petrol station than a regular service station, the Premier Inn is not the easiest to find tucked away behind the BP Garage & opposite McDonalds. Plenty of free parking. Check-in was quick, easy and friendly. The room was one of the older style Premier Inns but was clean and the comfortable bed was up to the usual Premier Inn standard, and the room was quiet despite the hotels location. A floor fan in the room signalled no aircon, but neither was needed in December! Slightly annoying lack of power sockets, and patchy WIFI, but I wasn’t there long enough for it to be a problem. The shower was warm rather than hot but ok. I didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as I went to the Wendy’s Instead. A slightly dated average hotel elevated by the friendly staff and reasonable price.

Bed , quite comfy, pillows were very hard, bathroom cleanliness wasn't great, needs a bit more care and attention with this. Staff very friendly also helped promptly with a problem with our first room. Also needs more tea, coffee and milk left in the rooms.

We paid extra to book 2 twin rooms and were extremely disappointed with both rooms. One of the rooms absolutely stank and the carpet was soaking wet, told reception and were told they were fully booked. Reception placed towels over the carpet and put an air filter on and told us to go back 15 mins later. The carpet was still soaked and it still smelt disgusting. The other room was covered in cobwebs, 1 with a spider still in it, mould on the walls and my daughter got bitten twice in bed. We were eventually refunded for the room with the wet carpets but not the other one because reception had only been informed at the time about the one room even though we provided pictures as requested. Would not stay here again.
